About The Book
Dying For A Change is the story about a woman (Chan Parker) who looks like a man. Her best friend (Henrietta Wild Cherry), a man who looks like a woman. Together they find the killer of a man (Miss Dove) who really wants to be a woman.
Summer, 1965, and the living is far from easy. The civil rights movement occupies the press. The Watts Riot is heating up Los Angeles and Chicago is hotter than little sister with the pox in August.
Other Author comments:
"Sean Reynolds offers a raucous, rhythmic, romp of a debut novel rife with intelligence, and a deep love for everyday people."
Evelyn C. White.
"Move over Easy Rawlings. Step aside Sam Spade. Butch Chan, a soon to be legendary detective is stalking the cold, mean streets of Chicago.
Here is prose so raw and soulful, it strikes the heart and funny bone with equal force. Chicago is rendered do deftly, I can still those chill winds blow."
Felicia Ward
"With details in the style of Walter Mosely, Dying For A Change is a fast, funny, completely riveting murder myster."
Lisa Moore
